The beginnings date back to 1984, when three university graduates founded IHSE in a small garage. The photos from that time are reminiscent of early pictures of the Apple or Microsoft founding teams – and the comparison is entirely justified: The small start-up expanded steadily and rose to become the international technology leader in the field of high-performance control room workstations.
This impressive journey would not have been possible without the support of loyal customers, dedicated employees and trusted partners. Furthermore, with Brockhaus Technologies AG, IHSE has the ideal owner to grow sustainably as a hidden champion in the German SME sector.
Looking back on 40 years of history
The journey began four decades ago. Through hard work, innovation and commitment, IHSE has earned a firm place in the KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) industry. Today, the company is proud to supply technology to international airports, including Frankfurt, Paris and Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), TV stations such as ZDF or Fox News, Hollywood productions, hospitals and many other industries and institutions around the world. In 2019, IHSE moved into the modern company headquarters in Oberteuringen on Lake Constance, where the entire value chain is based.

A look into the future: IHSE becomes a global player
IHSE now has subsidiaries in the USA, Austria, Singapore, China and further regional offices in France, Israel, India, Thailand and South Korea. IHSE is excellently positioned for future international growth: Pioneering technology partnerships – for example with the world’s leading technology company Intel or the MP3 developers at the Fraunhofer Institute IIS – ensure that IHSE continues to drive innovation in the industry and play a key role in shaping the future.
The current trend shows that IHSE is also increasingly in demand in the area of national and international security. In times of omnipresent cyber attacks, IHSE solutions are becoming increasingly important for securing complex IT systems at all levels.

Celebrations and events
IHSE is planning a series of events and activities to celebrate this special anniversary. In the first week of July, employees and business partners from all over the world will come together for the 40th anniversary celebrations. The crowning glory of the anniversary week will be a big party on the event ferry Euregia on Lake Constance.
