For the fifth year in a row, Dubai International saw the world’s largest number of international passengers in 2018 – more than 89.1 million. In August 8.4 million visitors passed through, making it the busiest month in the airport’s history, while the average monthly number was 7.4 million. 2018 also witnessed Dubai’s billionth customer in 2018, 58 years after the airport first opened. “2018 was yet another remarkable year for Dubai airports,” commented CEO Paul Griffiths.
