IDSS develops, manufactures and deploys a range of security solutions that leverage the power of Computed Tomography (CT) technology. Our core principles of integrity, innovation and industry guide us in our mission to bring resolution to security threat detection. The IDSS DETECTTM 1000 is just one example of how we are revolutionising security screening. In partnership with government agencies, regulators, airports, airlines and industry partners around the world, IDSS seeks to radically improve threat detection performance, passenger throughput and overall passenger experience.
Solutions
The IDSS DETECT 1000 is the culmination of five years of investment, research and development. Benefitting from its Dual Energy Computed Tomography (CT) design, the DETECT 1000 delivers high resolution and fully rotatable 3-D images. The DETECT 1000 analyses every object within a bag with submillimeter resolution for accurate density (p) and effective atomic number (Zeff) material measurements, while simplifying the identification of Restricted Items. The DETECT 1000 is TSA certified and has achieved ECAC C1 / C2 and Hold Baggage Standard 3 performance standards, offering automated screening for even thin explosives while electronics remain in carry-on luggage.
IDSS works closely with US and international security agencies and regulators including, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to develop next-generation screening solutions with broad applications to protect high threat facilities and critical infrastructure.
