It has today been announced that Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte (OMA) has selected Rockwell Collins’ ARINC vMUSE Common Use Passenger Processing System (CUPPS) for eight Mexican airports to enhance airport resource flexibility, and to streamline the existing check-in and gate systems.
Mazatlan and Zihuatanejo airports currently operate vMUSE, which optimises airport infrastructure with the use of common use facilities. The CUPPS-compliant vMUSE system will be implemented at Acapulco, Culiacan, Chihuahua, Monterrey, Reynosa and San Luis Potosi airports by 2019.
"Our Latin American team worked closely with the OMA Group to accommodate its need to leverage existing virtual infrastructure at each airport," said Yun Chong, global head of sales, Airport Systems for Rockwell Collins. "Our customised solution will offer OMA’s airports increased operational efficiency as travel demands increase in the region."
