On 11 December, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany Geza Andreas von Geyr visited Tolmachevo Airport in the frame of a working visit to Novosibirsk.
The main aim of the visit was to see the new flight catering facility in Tolmachevo that was launched in 2019 in the context of cooperation between the Novaport Holding and LSG Sky Chefs, one of the leading international manufacturers and operator in the field of flight catering. The ambassador was accompanied by the Consul General of FRG in Novosibirsk Peter Blomeyer and director general of Tolmachevo Catering LLC Sergei Anfinogenov.
It is to be recalled that the new facility of the Tolmachevo flight catering was opened on 29 August, precisely this day next year after the beginning of its construction. Before that, the enterprise operated on the territory of the Tolmachevo cargo terminal. The investments in the project made up RUB600 mln.
Having looked at the production facilities, Mr Andreas von Gayer highly estimated the capabilities of the flight catering facility in the Novosibirsk airport and wished the project further successful development.
On 18 December, the Tolmachevo airport has served 6.5 million passengers since the beginning of the year. It was a transfer passenger of the airport — Mrs Elena Kail, a resident of Blagoveshchensk, who flew together with her family from Blagoveshchensk to Novosibirsk and then on a connecting flight to Nizhnevartovsk.
The Tolmachevo airport and S7 Airlines have congratulated the anniversary passenger by presenting a tablet, a certificate for service in the business lounge and souvenirs. In addition, Elena and her family received memorable gifts from partner companies — a chain of coffee houses "Cup of Coffee" ("Chashka Kofe"), the company "Art Souvenir", a chain of hotels DoubleTree by Hilton Novosibirsk, as well as a hotel at the airport Tolmachevo "6-12-24", where Elena and her family were accommodated while waiting for a flight to Nizhnevartovsk.
"The fact that the transfer passenger became a record-breaking jubilee is a confirmation of the strategy of Tolmachevo Airport development as an aviation hub," says the general director of Tolmachevo Airport Mr Evgeniy Yankilevich. "Today, the Novosibirsk Airport is the second largest airport in the country in terms of transfer passenger traffic after the Moscow air hub and shows good growth rates for this indicator".
