On the eve of the winter holidays, Chisinau International Airport continues its beautiful tradition in pleasantly surprising passengers with its Christmas decorations and other nice things.
At the entrance to the airport building, passengers will be greeted by forest beauty that harmoniously complements the magical New Year’s atmosphere. This year, the Christmas tree is decorated with many bright balls and bows, and around it are huge interactive, mechanical and soft toys.
Feel festive: generous and eye-catching decorations to keep travellers in the spirit
Festive illumination and original elements of decor, located in all corners of the airport building, are pleasing to the eye, and creating an excellent festive mood for travellers. And it does not matter if people fly in or out, as each of them, having passed through the terminal, leaves with a feeling of genuine festive cheer.
Communal spirit: a social campaign to ensure the reunification of families at Christmas
Avia Invest, which operates Chisinau International Airport, decided to implement the idea of launching a social campaign for its passengers, called ‘Holidays start with kindness’. The idea behind this campaign is that Avia Invest will bring together parents who work abroad to their children, so that they can spend the winter holidays at home together.
The first participants of the Avia Invest social campaign are scheduled to return home in the second half of December 2018.
The magic number: three new direct flights added to get more passengers on their way
Chisinau Airport has good news for passengers in terms of new flights. From the second half of December 2018, it will be possible to use three direct flights operated by Wizz Air, in three new directions: Copenhagen, Memmingen and Dortmund.
From October 2018, the Belarusian company Belavia has offered a direct flight of Minsk-Chisinau-Minsk. And in other good news, the frequency of flights to London- Luton, Milan-Bergamo, Venice-Treviso, Berlin-Schönefeld and Rome-Ciampino increased.
Due to the increase in the number of destinations and the frequency of flights from the capital of Moldova, Chisinau International Airport is becoming an attractive transit point for European airlines. The changes that have taken place in recent years allow Chisinau Airport to be positioned as a bridge between Europe and Asia, where passengers enjoy the benefits of advantageous and diverse connections.
Future expansion: plans for a new year, high-quality safety procedures and a brand-new runway
As Chisinau International Airport plans to reconstruct the entire runway, the airport’s capacity will be increasing. It will receive and serve all types of aircraft unrestrictedly, including large-capacity aircraft, with a whopping 21 aircraft per hour passing through. And last but not least, the priority of the Chisinau International Airport team is to always ensure high-level flight safety. The airport is ready to provide high-quality services to passengers, so they always feel comfortable and safe.
